Injured Saka staying at Arsenal after being ruled out of England games

Rashford did link up with the England squad following a foot injury suffered in United’s FA Cup quarter-final defeat at Leicester, but worked on rehabilitating the problem indoors rather than training with the main group and was not available for the meeting with world football’s lowest-ranked side.
There was initial hope that both players could feature at some stage during this three-game international window, but it has now been confirmed that Saka will remain at Arsenal, with Rashford also returning to his club for further treatment.
“Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka will play no part in England’s forthcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers,” England confirmed in a statement released on Friday evening.
“Rashford reported to St. George’s Park with an injury that ruled him out of the 5-0 win against San Marino and, following further assessment, it has been decided he will continue his rehabilitation with Manchester United.
