Inter Milan chief admits club are plotting transfer raids on Man Utd and Arsenal

Inter Milan chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has made it clear he is interested in stars at Manchester United and Arsenal this summer.

He has expressed interest in Hector Bellerin who is keen to leave the Gunners in the transfer window. It has been said he is willing to take a pay cut to leave the club for a move to Serie A.

And Marotta also commented on the possibility of United’s Alex Telles joining his club.

He dished on the players he did want to sign but stressed all of his Inter stars will be remaining at the side.

He said: “Hector Bellerin is a player we’re following… but I can’t say more. Alex Telles?

Giuseppe Marotta is planning to raid Premier League clubs this summer

“I can’t exclude this possibility but we’re making our plans and we’ll see. We’re now planning to keep our best players after selling Hakimi,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

Inter have already been able to keep Romelu Lukaku at the club after it was rumoured Champions League holders Chelsea were interested in the striker.

The Inter chief may be keen to sign United’s Telles but the star is happy at the club despite losing game time to Luke Shaw last season.

Telles said: “It’s a pleasure to be at Manchester United coming into my second season.

“Last season, we came really close to winning trophies, so we go into this next season with a lot of desire and I really want to show my work and my value here at the club.

“I’m really looking forward to the game, I’m going into the game with a lot of desire.

“I think it’s a really great opportunity for us players who have been here for the last two weeks.

“It’s going to be a tough test but we’re really well prepared for it. We’ve been working really hard in training today, and this last week, and I believe it’s an opportunity to show my value my quality and my potential here at Manchester United.

“I know Manchester United Football Club and the fans really believe in me.”

Roma had also been looking at the left-back on a loan deal but United are thought to have blocked the contract. They are open to offers for Telles but only ones on a permanent basis.

Telles may look to move as well as after Shaw’s impressive Euro 2020 stint with England it is clear he will be the first choice at United again next season.
