Jake Paul returns to the boxing ring against UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley on August 28.

Ahead of that bout the YouTube star has opened up on his dream opponent and has issued a warning to Billy Joe Saunders.

Paul says he would love to face Saul Canelo Alvarez in his dream match where he would fight for a world championship.

The brash 24-year-old followed that proclamation up with a threat to Billy Joe Saunders.

Paul said it wouldn’t be pretty if he crossed paths with the boxer in the street.

“Anything is possible – my goal is to become a world champion to laugh and say I did it. Ultimate fight would be against Canelo,” the YouTube sensation told talkSPORT.

“BJS got embarrassed… if I saw any of those guys (BJS or Yildrim) in the street, it wouldn’t be pretty.”

Paul has been criticised by some for the way he has transitioned to boxing with exhibition fights which have proven very lucrative.

He added: “It’s about making history and proving people wrong – I want to leave an everlasting legacy. I know I can become one of the best in the world in this sport.

“Boxing is the perfect way to prove haters wrong.”

Paul is 3-0 after knocking out all of his opponents so far in the squared circle and his next opponent Woodley will be boxing for the first time.

“It’s a step up in competition – this is really just the start,” Paul said of facing Woodley.

Woodley has won 19 MMA fights in his career and definitely has more credentials than Paul’s previous opponent Ben Askren.

He said: “I’ve shown a new way to play this game – bringing more excitement and younger children into boxing. More kids will become boxers inspired by this movement.

“I want to make boxing bigger than MMA again.”

Tommy Fury will fight on the undercard of the event on August 28, something Paul claims he was instrumental in making happen.

He explained: “I was the number one person to get Tommy Fury on this card – I see him as a potential opponent in the future.

“Anthony is going to beat Tommy. I wanted to see if Tommy would step up to the plate. Let’s see what you are made of. People didn’t know he existed until he started talking shit about me.”
