Agent Jorge Mendes is ready to offer Manchester United a £30million-rated striker to replace Edinson Cavani amid ongoing uncertainty over the Uruguayan’s future.
Cavani moved to Old Trafford on a free transfer last summer and penned a one-year deal with the club, with the option to extend for another season.
He has since established himself as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s preferred centre-forward by outscoring Anthony Martial in fewer Premier League minutes.
But United are yet to extend the 34-year-old’s contract for another season and, as it stands, he will depart this summer.
Mendes is keeping a close eye on Cavani’s situation as he prepares to offer one of his clients to the Red Devils.
That’s according to The Sun , which claims Eintracht Frankfurt star Andre Silva is the man touted to make the switch to the Premier League giants.
Silva has been in electric form for the Bundesliga side this season, plundering 18 goals in 20 games to fire his club to fourth in the table.
The report adds Eintracht may be willing to part ways with the Portugal international as they aim to bring Luka Jovic back from Real Madrid.
Should United extend Cavani’s contract or sign Silva? Have your say in the comments.
Jovic joined Los Blancos for £51million in 2019 but failed to make an impression in Spain and has since returned on loan to Eintracht, who would like to make the move a permanent one.
For United, this means Silva – of the most prolific marksmen in Germany – may be available this summer.
With concerns over Cavani’s age and fitness continuing to linger, United are expected to move for a striker this summer.

Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland is a long-term target, but the Red Devils will face bitter competition to sign the Norwegian.
It may also cost at least £80million to sign the 20-year-old this summer, while Silva could be available for less than half that sum.
Agent Mendes – who represents many of the Portuguese players in the Premier League – is expected to continue to offer Silva to United for as long as the uncertainty surrounding Cavani’s situation continues.
