Jota’s FPL activity sparks Salah rumours ahead of Liverpool vs Fulham

The forward has put himself into his starting XI in Fantasy Premier League, replacing Manchester City’s Phil Foden, prompting suggestions among fans that Salah will be the one to make way.

Salah showed his displeasure at being withdrawn after barely an hour in the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea, which consigned the Reds to a fifth successive home league defeat and the worst run in their history, by shaking his head as he sat in the stands.

Manager Jurgen Klopp insists he took off the Premier League’s leading scorer because he thought he was feeling the intensity of the game.

Jota replaced Salah and the former Wolves man is seemingly confident of starting against Fulham on Sunday by transferring himself into his team.

Premier League players’ FPL activity has been the topic of discussion this season after a number of Aston Villa players removed Jack Grealish from their teams before official word of the player’s injury was confirmed.

The activity of players’ teams are monitored and posted by the ‘FPL Insider’ Twitter account, a bot account that automatically monitors transfers and selection picks.

The creator, who goes by Henning, told BBC: “I can understand the frustration but this is already available information. I’m just structuring it and packaging it in tweets.”
