Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante says he’s “sure” his side can get a positive result from their trip to Liverpool on Thursday.
The Reds have lost their last four home matches in the Premier League having previously gone unbeaten at home in league matches since April 2017, but they returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday.
“It is an important game for us, we are very close in the league,” the Frenchman told Sky Sports.
“We go there for a win. We know that it is not going to be easy but we go with hope, and I’m sure that we can get a good result from Anfield.”
Kante knows it will be tough for the Blues to gain Champions League football next season, but he knows they are good enough to achoeve it.
“Now it’s our challenge to get this position,” he continued.
“We need to fight for it, to prepare to it, and to do everything we can to get in this top four.”
