Kylian Mbappe has suggested he could move away from Ligue 1 in order to avoid the “tiring” criticism he faces from the French media.
The Paris Saint-Germain superstar believes he he is treated differently to his teammates in Dider Deschamps’ squad who play for clubs overseas.
Mbappe’s comments are the latest indication he is not happy with his current situation and will pursue a move away from Parc des Princes this summer.
Mbappe also claimed no progress has been made in extending his contract with PSG – which will expire in the summer of 2022 – during a frustrated interview after France’s 1-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday.
“Of course it gets tiring,” Mbappe told RTL of the regular scrutiny he receives from the French media.
“Especially when you play for a club in your country and you give everything for your national team. After a while it gets tiring.
“It’s different for players who play abroad and only come back here for the national team.
“I’m there all the time, they speak about me a lot more. It’s a different context [to other players], but I knew it would be like that when I signed for Paris. We’ll see.”

Mbappe also confirmed pressure from the French media could influence his next move, adding: “Of course it plays a part, but it’s not just that.
“The most important thing is to feel good where you are, and to have fun every day.”
Mbappe endured a frustrating international break during which he failed to find the back in of the net in three outings and missed a penalty against Kazakhstan.
But he has been in excellent form for his club this season, scoring 30 goals and laying on nine assists in all competitions.

PSG sporting director Leonardo admitted last month “the time to make a decision has arrived” as Mbappe approaches a crossroads in his career.
The former Monaco man had little to say of his contract situation, however, and issued a frustrated response to a question over extending his deal.
“If it had progressed, I would have come to talk about it already,” said Mbappe. “Of course, I will talk about it when I have made up my mind.”
