Leicester City vs Chelsea: Premier League – LIVE!

Chelsea’s form nosedived over the festive period to leave Lampard facing serious questions about his future.

The Blues have won their last two games, though a 4-0 FA Cup win over League Two Morecambe and an unconvincing 1-0 League victory at 10-man Fulham were results to delay talk about the manager’s immediate fate, rather than quash it altogether.

Chelsea currently sit seventh in the table, five points off the top four, while Leicester are two points off leaders Manchester United – and Brendan Rodgers’ Foxes would go top with a win, at least temporarily.

While both Rodgers and Lampard both need a victory, the Chelsea boss cannot afford a damaging defeat at this point of the campaign.

Leicester vs Chelsea prediction: 2-2 draw

Leicester have been in excellent form of late but much will surely hinge on Jamie Vardy’s fitness. Chelsea will be desperate to build on a hard-fought if unconvincing win over Fulham, and a score draw seems the likely outcome.

Chelsea team news and predicted lineup

Frank Lampard will be without N’Golo Kante because of a hamstring problem but otherwise has a fully fit squad to choose from.

Reece James could be recalled to the starting lineup having been an unused substitute against Fulham on his return to the squad after injury.

Chelsea predicted XI (4-3-3): Mendy; James, Zouma, Thiago, Chilwell; Havertz, Jorginho, Mount; Ziyech, Werner, Pulisic
