Liverpool could face a more hectic summer than usual with marquee names potentially arriving and leaving Anfield.
The Reds, who have been the shrewdest of operators, have largely retained their key players during the Jurgen Klopp era. Now though that could change with both Sadio Mane and Mo Salah entering the final year of their deals. Mane is more likely to exit with Bayern Munich keen.
As a result Liverpool are having to consider replacements with Benfica’s Darwin Nunez among them. The Reds claimed two trophies last term but couldn’t capture the Premier League or the Champions League. They are set to go again as they eye more silverware.

Nunez personal terms agreed
Liverpool and Darwin Nunez have settled on an agreement regarding personal terms ahead of a potential switch to Anfield, according to The Athletic. The 22-year-old enjoyed a breakout campaign last term for Benfica, smashing the 30-goal barrier, one of which was at Anfield.
Benfica are set to receive around £85m for the 22-year-old, who is also on Manchester United’s radar. Liverpool though are in pole position as they chase the Uruguayan amid the uncertain futures of Salah and Mane.
Nunez has previously drawn praise from Klopp, who said: “Really good, really good. I knew it before but he played pretty much in front of me. Physically strong, quick, was calm with his finish. Really good. If he stays healthy, it’s a big career ahead of him.”
Origi among seven to leave
Liverpool have announced that Divock Origi will leave the club upon the expiry of his contract this summer.
The Reds have also confirmed that six other players will depart including several Academy players as they publish their end of season retained list with Origi amongst those to go. The Belgium international has written his name into Liverpool folklore with some important goals over the years.
Loris Karius, whose last outing was the Champions League final in 2018, will also be leaving Anfield. Sheyi Ojo and Ben Woodburn, once tipped as a future first-team regular, have also seen their careers with Liverpool ended.

Reds firms on Mane value
According to The Telegraph, Liverpool value Mane at £40m amid Bayern Munich’s interest in the player and expect them to meet that figure if they want to sign the winger. He has just 12 months left on his deal and is being linked with pastures new.
Bayern have already lodged bids as they attempt to get the Senegal star on the cheap, the latest of which was £30m – £23.5m of which was up front. Those have been rejected as the Reds stand firm on the player’s price tag. Mane was signed back in 2016 from Southampton for £34m.
They are expected to put any money from Mane’s possible exit into signing Nunez from Benfica as a replacement.
