Mirror Football’s latest Liverpool transfer round-up sees the Reds linked with two of European football’s best young strikers and one of Chelsea’s top defenders
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp won’t be too concerned about bringing in fresh talent right now after his side’s unbeaten start to the season.
Transfer rumours are still dominating the internet, though, with reports linking Liverpool with two of European football’s best young strikers.
And if anyone can get the best out of them it’s Klopp, with his team scoring 29 Premier League goals so far this term – the most in the division.
Here, Mirror Football takes a look at three stars rumoured with Liverpool – including one of Thomas Tuchel’s players.

Liverpool have been linked with Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic in recent months and, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, he could be available in January.
The 21-year-old, who won Serie A’s Best Young Player award last season, is out of contract in June 2023 and he’s not interested in signing an extension.
Club president Rosso Commisso confirmed last month: “Fiorentina made a very significant offer to the player. Our proposal would have made him the highest paid player in the history of the club.
“We also improved our offer on a number of occasions in order to accommodate the requests of both Dusan and his entourage. However, despite our efforts, those offers have not been accepted.”
Vlahovic has been in brilliant form this season, scoring eight goals in 11 Serie A appearances. He was just as prolific last term, finding the back of the net 21 times in the league.
New boost for Klopp
The 19-year-old striker has stunned the Austrian Bundesliga this term, scoring 10 goals in 11 league games to earn his first three senior caps for Germany.
Adeyemi is unlikely to stay at Salzburg for much longer if he keeps up the scoring, although Borussia Dortmund – who signed Erling Haaland from the Austrian giants in January 2020 – are thought to be leading the race his signature.
Discussing Adeyemi, Germany manager Hansi Flick said: “He’s already shown at the start of this season that he can be ice cold in front of goal.”
How Rud of you
Former Premier League striker Noel Whelan has urged Liverpool to make a cheeky bid for Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger, who is out contract in June.
According to Eurosport, the Reds are monitoring the defender’s situation and Whelan – who played for Leeds, Middlesbrough and Coventry – would leave to see him play alongside Virgil van Dijk.
Is Jurgen Klopp the best manager in the world? Have your say!
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “To have Rudiger and Van Dijk in the same side, with Konate to come in. Wow, that would be a solid set of options.
“It would add even more steel at the back. We all know what they’ve already got upfront and in midfield.
“There are not many positions in which you would say they need an extra player. But Rudiger would be some signing and give Liverpool two centre-halves that anyone would fear.”
