Liverpool are hopeful midfielder Thiago Alcantara will be fit to return after the international break as The Reds battle another injury blow.
The Spaniard has been out of action since being on the receiving end of a crunching tackle from Richarlison, which earned the Everton striker a straight red card in last month’s Merseyside derby.
Thiago has since begun full training again but did not prove his fitness in time to be included for Liverpool’s trip to Man City on Sunday.
The two-week layoff should provide him with enough time to get back up to speed, though, and put Thiago in contention for Liverpool’s next fixture at home to Leicester on November 21.
Sadly for Liverpool, as they prepare to welcome back one star, they lose another, as Trent Alexander-Arnold became the latest player to be sidelined this season.
The 22-year-old pulled up sharply during the weekend clash at The Etihad and was promptly substituted.
Alexander-Arnold has now been ruled out for up to four weeks with a calf injury.
That could yet mean the full-back misses five matches of Liverpool’s season, with him already out of England’s three internationals this week.
Liverpool are keen to repeat last season’s success – and you don’t want to miss a thing, surely?

It’s been an extremely interesting start to the season for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
They got their title defence off to a shaky start as they edged out a seven-goal thriller against Leeds, before going on to conceded seven in a hammering by Aston Villa.
Virgil van Dijk’s season was ended by injury in the 2-2 draw at Everton, leaving the title favourites looking far less secure at the back – especially with Alisson’s injury worries too.
But there’s no slowing down in what is going to be a busy campaign – with Klopp ensuring his men continue at full pace as they bid for more title glory.
The easiest way to keep up with everything going on at Anfield? It’s by signing up.

Youngster Neco Williams is among the players available to Jurgen Klopp who could replace Alexander-Arnold.
The Liverpool boss could use James Milner, who deputised in the role for the final half hour against City.
Fabinho is expected to be back fit as well, which would give Klopp the option to push Joe Gomez across to right-back.

Klopp has bemoaned Liverpool’s hectic schedule amid their recent spate of injuries.
Speaking on Sunday he said: “We played [last month] after the international break at 12.30 on Saturday at Everton. Some of my players were coming back from Peru. These kind of things should not happen.
“Usually in the season we all have a [hectic] November and December. This year the October is like a December, the November is like a November and the December is still like a December.”
