As the Premier League season approaches an end, attention is beginning to turn to next campaign.
Liverpool remain in the race to secure a Champions League place and will be fully aware of just how costly missing out on the top four could prove to be.
The transfer market is expected to operate at a reduced level as clubs get to grips with the financial fallout of the coronavirus pandemic, though big clubs are still likely to recruit new stars.
Jurgen Klopp will be looking to add to his group as the Reds look to mount a title challenge – but just who could be on their way to Anfield?
We have taken a look at the latest rumours below…
Juventus lower Ramsey price
Liverpool could complete a transfer bargain this summer following news that Juventus have reduced their asking price for Aaron Ramsey to just £10million.
According to Tutto Juve , Ramsey is a player Klopp has considered as a potential option ahead of the upcoming window
The report claims Juventus initially wanted €20m for Ramsey, but the Italian giants have reversed this decision.
The 30-year-old joined Juventus on a free transfer, having represented Arsenal for 11 years.
It’s believed that Ramsey agreed a contract worth £400,000 per week at the club.
New contracts for Brazilian duo
Alisson and Fabinho are in line for new deals at Liverpool, it has emerged.
The Brazilian duo have been standout performers for Klopp’s side since arriving from AS Roma and Monaco respectively in the 2018 summer transfer window.
According to the Daily Mail, discussions with the pair will start when the players return for pre-season at the start of July.
Fabinho’s current deal is due to expire in 2023, with Alisson’s ending one year later.
Sporting issue Goncalves blow
Sporting Lisbon have dealt Liverpool a blow in their bid to sign midfielder Pedro Goncalves.
The Portuguese club are working to offer their star man a new contract amid interest from Klopp’s side and Manchester United.
Sporting informed clubs in the winter window that the 22-year-old would only be sold for his full €60million (£51.6m) release clause- which is now set to increase.
Portuguese outlet, Record, have reported that Sporting now intend to increase his buyout clause to €80m (£68.8m) with a new contract that will also see his wage rise from €500k (£8.2k-p/w) to €700k (£11.5k-p/w) a year.
Goncalves played a major part in his side claiming a first league title in 19 years, contributing 20 goals and three assists in Liga NOS this campaign.
