Jake Paul confirms Tommy Fury has pulled out of December fight

Logan Paul has branded Tommy Fury a “b****” after the Brit was forced to withdraw from the showdown with his brother Jake.

Fury was set to meet his bitter rival Paul in a grudge match in Florida later this month to settle their ongoing feud.

But he confirmed he wouldn’t be able to compete against Paul after suffering a broken rib and a chest infection just two weeks out from their clash.

Paul’s brother Logan has condemned the postponement claiming he feels “sorry” for his sibling after his plans were briefly delayed.

Paul posted a video on his Instagram : “I woke up this morning really sorry for my brother because Tommy Fury backed out of the fight against him, which by the way didn’t we see this f****** coming?

“Tommy it is a good thing you are beautiful you sexy blue-eyed beast because you are a p****. Good news though Tommy you have been replaced brother. Sorry. That is what happens when you fumble the bag you b****.”

Fury was set to finally meet his rival in the ring on December 18 after weeks of negotiations that began after a heated altercation in Cleveland.

The British star confronted Paul in the hallway after defeating Anthony Taylor on the undercard of the YouTuber’s headline showdown with Tyron Woodley.

He then vowed to end the streaming sensation’s short boxing career before challenging Paul’s brother Logan shortly afterwards.

However the fight will now be put on hold after Fury’s withdrawal which the 22-year-old admitted he was “heartbroken” in the aftermath of the postponement.

Fury released a statement : “I am absolutely heartbroken that I have been forced to withdraw from my fight with Jake Paul due to a bacterial chest infection and broken rib.

“The beginning of my camp was going so incredibly and I never expected anything to come in my way from a victory on December 18.

“I can’t express now disappointed I am and I really do hope we can get this fight rescheduled in the new year. I want this fight to happen more than anything. I’m now regretfully putting my focus on recovery and a further rescheduled date.”

Paul will not be without a test however after it was announced that Woodley would replace Fury in a rematch of their previous August meeting.

The former UFC champion had previously hit out at Paul for not accepting the offer of a second meeting, instead pursuing a showdown with Fury.

He attempted to force a rematch through by getting a tattoo inked that was part of their pre-fight wager.

But now he will get his second shot over eight rounds at a catchweight of 192lbs on late notice in Florida.

Woodley could also earn an added $500,000 incentive if he can gain a stoppage victory over the YouTuber later this month.
