Liverpool are yet to splash the cash in the transfer window as much as their Premier League rivals but the likes of Houssem Aouar, Renato Sanches and Yves Bissouma have been linked
Liverpool have yet to truly splash the cash this summer while their Premier League rivals have all strengthened.
Some include Romelu Lukaku, Jack Grealish, Jadon Sancho and Ben White but the only arrival at Anfield so far is Ibrahim Konate.
However, Jurgen Klopp remains hellbent on improving his midfield and Houssem Aouar could be an option as Lyon look to sell while Renato Sanches and Yves Bissouma have been linked too.
Here are the latest Liverpool transfer rumours and gossip this Thursday.

Liverpool are yet to test Lyon’s resolve over Aouar as they prepare to entertain offers after transfer listing him.
Several Premier League teams are interested in the France international including United, Tottenham and Arsenal.
But Liverpool could be the ones to make a move with Klopp keen on bringing some creativity to his midfield.
According to RMC Sport, via GFFN, Lyon are prepared to sell Aouar, along with Thiago Mendes, Rayan Cherki and Islam Slimani due to poor attitude.
It comes after an embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Angers in Ligue 1 and club director Juninho is looking to clear out hthe squad.
That is good news for Liverpool, who had earlier thought about moving on from a transfer with Lyon notoriously difficult negotiators.
Klopp wish denied
Liverpool boss Klopp and his coach Pep Ljinders are huge fans of Ben Woodburn and were happy for the forward to stick around this season and be part of the squad.
But the Reds hierarchy have taken that decision out of their hands as he prepares to join Hearts on loan.
Woodburn was on the bench for Saturday’s clash with Norwich as the Reds secured a 3-0 opening day win at Carrow Road.
The 21-year-old has not played senior football for Liverpool in three years, having spent time on loan at Sheffield United, Oxford United and Blackpool respectively.
The Athletic report that the Wales international is in line to be loaned out once again as Hearts prepare to welcome the striker.
The report strongly suggests that both Klopp and his assistant Ljinders were keen to keep him in and around the first team squad this season.
Arsenal’s Coutinho bid could be thwarted
Philippe Coutinho’s affection for Liverpool could thwart Arsenal’s hopes of signing the Barcelona playmaker in a sensational swap deal.
The Gunners appear by far the most-likely club to pursue him as the transfer window reaches its climax – but Coutinho’s “affinity” with the Reds could scupper their chances.
“It would be very difficult for Philippe to play for any of Liverpool’s rivals because he has such a great affinity towards Liverpool. His time there was fantastic,” said Coutinho’s agent – Kia Joorabchian – in 2019.
He added: “Like all big players at some point, you want to experience a different thing in your career because your career is very short, but it [his Anfield exit] has no reflection on the fact his heart and affinity is very much with Liverpool.”
