Man United vs Man City: Premier League preview

United crashed out of the Champions League in midweek after losing 3-2 away to RB Leipzig on the final day of the competition’s group stage.

City, on the other hand, had already secured their progression to the last-16 as group winners and Pep Guardiola was able to rest many of his star names for the win over Marseille.

Guardiola’s men have shown ominous signs of clicking into top gear in recent weeks and can go above their rivals with victory as they look to close the gap on the league leaders.

Man United vs Man City score prediction: 1-2 away win

United have relied on second-half comebacks for each of their last two Premier League wins, but left themselves too much to do against better opposition in midweek.

City are just starting to find their best form and will be desperate to compound Solskjaer’s misery, having lost both league meetings between the sides last season.
