As Manchester United look to go one better next season and win the Premier League, their transfer window activity is hotting up.
Constant speculation surrounds who could be coming and going from Old Trafford during the transfer window, with headliners Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane linked with big-money moves.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made no bones about wanting more bodies in the first-team fold for next term, following their crushing Europa League final loss on penalties last month.
The entrance and exit doors appear to be wide open.
Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest transfer news from the red side of Manchester.
Trippier price tag set
Spanish champions Atletico Madrid have placed a £30m price tag on right wing-back Kieran Trippier in hope of putting United off this summer.
The Bury-born 30-year-old is seen as someone who can offer what current first-choice right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka can’t; having been a force going forward in Atletico’s recent title triumph.
An opening bid of £10m was reportedly rejected by Wanda Metropolitano chiefs as Diego Simeone doesn’t want to lose the England international.
The Red Devils already know how difficult it can be attempting to bring an Englishman in from a abroad, with the Sancho saga reflecting the same gap in valuation between MUFC officials and the foreign side.
Formerly part of Manchester City’s academy as a youngster and proving himself a worthy Premier League defender at Burnley, Trippier is seemingly keen on returning to the North West – but it’ll take some serious cash.
Pogba plays down PSG links
One man who could soon be leaving Manchester is Paul Pogba, whose contract expires next summer, with Europe’s elite on alert.
The France international has been speaking about his future while preparing for EURO 2020 and has played down reports of a switch to French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
“I have one year left on my contract, everybody knows that. I have not yet had a concrete contract extension offer,” the Parisian native said via Get Football News France.
“I do not want to hear: ‘He is not focused on the Euros because he is thinking about his future.’ I have more experience than before.
“I am focused on the present,” he continued.
“I have an agent [the loose-lipped Mino Raiola] to deal with all of that.”
When asked if he’d spoken to PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the midfielder replied: “I don’t have his number.”
Meanwhile, The Athletic claim their sources have indicated that Pogba is indeed open to the idea of extending his stay at the Theatre of Dreams despite Raiola claiming it was ‘over’ for him at the club last December.
Pogba impressed at the back end of the most recent campaign, playing a key role in United’s second-place PL finish and run to the aforementioned final.
Coman talk cooled
Sky Germany’s Max Bielefeld says Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman will be priced out of a potential transfer to Old Trafford.
With the Red Devils reportedly close to sealing a deal for Sancho, Bielefeld has deemed any move to England as ‘unlikely.’
This is due to the Bavarian club’s valuation of the winger, who scored the winning goal for Bayern in the 2020 Champions League final.
United fans, would you prefer – Sancho or Coman? Comment below.
Although it seems United like the look of Pogba’s international teammate, there would be no available funds for the dynamic wide man who has won a league title in every single one of his senior seasons.
Coman wants to leave the Allianz Arena, too, and is said to be ‘disappointed’ by his latest contract offer, adding to the lack of recognition he’s received in Munich.
The 24-year-old’s current deal ends in the summer of 2023.
