Man Utd on red alert as Sami Khedira outlines Premier League transfer ‘dream’

Manchester United have been alerted to Sami Khedira’s desire to play in the Premier League which he has called a “really big dream”.

The German could be on the look out for a move come the New Year with his Juventus contract winding down.

Andrea Pirlo opted against releasing him early from his contract but the 33-year-old is yet to make appearance this term.

Khedira has an impressive CV and is a natural born winner having lifted the World Cup in 2014 and enjoyed trophy-laden spells in Italy and Spain.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shown a willingness to sign veterans as he looks to balance out his young squad.

He told  Sky Germany : “When I was a child it was always a big dream of mine to be a Premier League player.

“I am really happy and satisfied with my career until now but one thing is still missing because I always had this dream and it has never come true… to be a part of the Premier League.

“I have watched so many Premier League games since I was young and even now I am following the Premier League a lot.

The German has expressed an admiration for Jose Mourinho

“I always enjoy playing in the Champions League against English clubs. The atmosphere, the style and the idea of football has always impressed me.

“If it is possible, it will for sure be a really big dream come true and an honour to be a part of the Premier League.”

But during his Real Madrid days the German worked under Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti.

Both managers are now in the Premier League and he has spoken glowingly about the duo.

“Many people talk about him being too defensive but he is a winner, he is a champion. That is why he impressed me the most.

“I really enjoyed working with Mourinho but there are many coaches who I would like to work with.
