The Red Devils have made progress this season by comfortably securing a Champions League spot.
United have also reached their first final under manager Solskjaer and will look to claim their first silverware in Wednesday’s final against Villarreal in Gdansk.
Mirror Football have looked at the latest transfer rumours surrounding Old Trafford.
United could sell Martial to fund Kane move
Harry Kane is attracting interest from United this summer and the club could even sanction the sale of Anthony Martial to fund the England captain’s transfer.
Martial has taken a step backwards this season after an encouraging campaign leading the line.
And The Times report that the Frenchman could be the ‘designated causality’ should United sign a star striker.
Kane is the elite forward who could be available this summer and United could sell injury-hit Martial to fund a sensational transfer.
Sancho ‘would love’ Man Utd transfer
Jadon Sancho would reportedly love a switch to United this summer.
The England international was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer but a deal between United and Dortmund wasn’t agreed.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano insists the winger is still keen on the switch.
“Last summer Manchester United were alone in the race, they had the opportunity to sign Sancho,” Romano told the United Stand.
“They were really close and they didn’t sign him. Now United are in the race, the player loves the opportunity of joining Manchester United so his position is not changing.
“He would love to join Manchester United.”
United urged to sign their ‘own Kante’
Former United midfielder Owen Hargreaves believes the club need to sign a player in the mould of N’Golo Kante to compete for the Premier League title next season.
Many supporters think a centre-back and a winger are priority positions but Hargreaves has a different outlook, suggesting Solskjaer could change his system if he signs a defensive midfielder this summer.
“Ole loves to use two midfielders in a double pivot because it gives the team balance,” he told the Daily Mail.
“Maybe next season, he can find a way to get both Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba into the team with one defensive midfielder who can do that pivot job on his own.
“Someone like Kante, to then free the likes of Marcus Rashford or Mason Greenwood, Cavani and Sancho.
“That is killer. United can go toe-to-toe with anyone with that.”
