Manchester United kick off their pre-season preparations with a friendly against Derby County this weekend.
The meeting sees the Red Devils come up against Championship opposition bossed by Wayne Rooney – United’s all-time leading goalscorer.
The match marks the first outing in a pre-season set to be contested solely at home for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side – unlike previous years when they have jetted away to the United States or China.
For United fans it will be the first glimpse of their side since the heartbreaking Europa League final defeat to Villarreal on penalties in May.
Ahead of the friendly against the Rams, here is all you need to know.
When is Derby vs Man United?
The match takes place on Sunday, July 18 at Pride Park.
Kick-off is 1pm.
How can I watch it?
The game is being streamed on Derby’s in-house service, Rams TV, with fans charged a fee of £10.
It is also available to watch on MUTV which can be watched via a Sky box or online. Subscription to MUTV costs £7.99 per month.
You can also follow the game live with Mirror Sport on a dedicated blog.
No odds were available at the time of writing, as is normally the case when it comes to friendly matches.
United will be without a clutch of high-profile regulars, owing to international commitments at the Euros and Copa America.
Whilst the likes of Harry Maguire, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford sit this one out there will still be plenty of experience in the Red Devils’ ranks on Sunday.
Ex-Derby stopper Lee Grant could feature against his old club while the likes of Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard and Mason Greenwood are also in contention.
There could also be a sprinkling of youngsters involved, such as Will Fish, Dylan Levitt and Anthony Elanga all pictured taking part in first-team training recently.
As for Derby, they’ve endured a torrid time of things ever since clinching Championship survival last term.
Rooney has been unable to strengthen his squad yet, but friendly rules permit him to give run-outs to players on trial.
The Rams have numerous experienced players training with them, such as Phil Jagielka, Sam Baldock and former United starlet Ravel Morrison.
There is a possibility all three could play.
