Arsenal ‘s impressive 10-game unbeaten run came to a brutal end after the Gunners were hammered 4-0 by Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday evening.

Mikel Arteta ‘s side failed to get to grips with the Reds plethora of attacking talent, four different goal-scorers putting Arsenal to the sword.

All six of the signings made by Arteta in the summer featured against Jurgen Klopp’s side at some point, but couldn’t prevent a first defeat since late August.

While the morale around the red half of north London remains high, recent reports have suggested the Arsenal boss could be tempted to dip into his transfer funds when January rolls around to bolster his options further.

The Spaniard is also likely to oversee a number of exits, with one high-profile departure in particular.

With that being said, here is Mirror Sport’s Arsenal transfer round-up for Monday, November 22.

AC Milan keen on Pepe loan

Arsenal’s record-signing failed to feature in any capacity at Anfield, ensuring he has played just five minutes worth of Premier League football in the last four league outings.

After a stellar 2018/19 campaign for Ligue 1 outfit Lille, Pepe was on the radar of a number of top clubs before the Gunners forked out a staggering £72m for his services.

He has fallen spectacularly short of justifying that figure, but Italian outlet Calciomercato report that his poor form has not deterred AC Milan, who would be interested in taking the winger on loan in January.

The Rossoneri view a move for Pepe as one that could follow in the footsteps of their pursuit of ex-Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori – who joined on loan before making his deal permanent in the summer.

Pepe has just 15 league goals to show for his time in north London, despite being a third of the way through his third season at the club.

Solskjaer exit hinders Arsenal’s transfer hopes

Donny van de Beek’s hopes of forging a career at Man Utd have received a boost with Solskjaer’s departure

The departure of Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to have negative consequences for Arsenal in their pursuit of Donny van de Beek.

The former Ajax midfielder only joined United in the summer of last year, but was seemingly never viewed favourably by the Norwegian – in turn sparking rumours of an exit.

Both Arsenal and Everton had registered an interest in prying the Dutchman away from Old Trafford, but there is every chance his playing time increases as a result of an imminent managerial change.

Ironically, the 24-year-old bagged the final United goal of the Solskjaer-era, which will inevitably lead to further calls for him to play more from Red Devils supporters.

Arsenal line up Lacazette replacement

Karim Adeyemi is viewed as a potential Alex Lacazette replacement by Arsenal

The Gunners are unlikely to extend the contract of Alexandre Lacazette and have identified RB Salzburg star Karim Adeyemi as his replacement.

Lacazette is out of contract come the end of this season and despite some impressive performances in recent weeks, is unlikely to have done enough to warrant a new deal.

Instead, Arsenal’s youth revolution could gain a new recruit in the form of 19-year-old Adeyemi.

The Germany international has enjoyed a stellar start to the season in Austria, notching 11 goals in 14 league fixtures.

Adeyemi’s signature is wanted not just by Arsenal but by Manchester City and Liverpool, according to the Mail.
