Martin Keown says he wishes Sokratis all the best because he was treated a little unfairly by Arsenal – but says he doesn’t wish him well against the Gunners on Thursday.
Sokratis was at Arsenal last season when they were knocked out of the Europa League by Olympiakos.
He joined the Greek side in the summer and will come up against his former club this Thursday, with Arsenal keen to get revenge and progress to the quarter-final of this season’s European competition.
Ahead of the match on BT Sport, Arsenal legend Keown said of Sokratis: “I thought he was treated a little unfairly. I thought he was a better player than Mustafi. He had a good calibre and we wish him well – but not too well tonight.”
This week Olympiakos winger Bruma has been talking about the fixture, which takes place in Greece, saying Sokratis has been revealing his former side’s weaknesses.
“He has told us some secrets, but I won’t tell you about any of them,” Bruma told Goal. “It’s between us and Sokratis.
“Of course, he knows Arsenal’s locker room better than anyone.
