The Argentine has been subject to immense interest from Arsenal, Spurs, and many more, but it appears the Copa America and Serie A champion has made up his mind
In another transfer window, Lautaro Martinez’s transfer future would have been one of the biggest stories of the whole summer.
But with the likes of Lionel Messi, Harry Kane, and his striker partner Romelu Lukaku dominating the transfer web-space, the 23-year-old’s future has been lost amongst the madness.
The Argentine enjoyed a stellar 2020-21 season, winning the Scudetto with Inter Milan, before playing a pivotal role in Argentina’s Copa America triumph this summer.
Amongst Inter’s crippling financial issues were reports suggesting Martinez could be sold to raise some much needed funds; however, Martinez’s agents has said he will not be going anywhere this window.

“Lautaro wants to stay at Inter,” his agent said to FCInterNews.
“He believes in the Nerazzurri project and aims to win another Scudetto.
“I think we have to adapt to the new situation. A meeting with Inter is scheduled for Wednesday.”
It is a remarkable turnaround for a club who has already seen some of their most important players go.
They lost their speed and wing-span when Achraf Hakimi was sold to Paris Saint-Germain for £54 million.
Soon after they lost their philosophy and their footballing mind when manager Antonio Conte departed the San Siro after fully grasping the astounding financial hole the club had found themselves in.
Then, perhaps most painfully, they lost their thrust, their bite, and their guts when they sold Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea for £98 million.

The Nerazzurri ended Juventus falcon like grip on Serie A when they powered to their first League title in a decade.
Martinez’s perfect partnership with Lukaku saw the two contribute 41 goals and 20 assists between each other, as Inter topped second placed AC Milan by 12 points.
However, having made back £150 million in transfer fees, they no longer have a desperate need to sell Martinez.
After recouping and solidifying their finances, Simone Inzaghi’s side are back on the transfer offensive.
They have signed the promising Standard Liege defender Zinho Vanheusden for £14 million, as well as securing the £11 million signature of Euro 2020 and Dutch star Denzel Dumfries from PSV Eindhoven.
Belief is returning to the Nerazzuri and it has returned to Martinez and his agent.
It was even reported Nuno Espirito Santo’s side even had a £76.5 million bid rejected by Milan for the Argentine, according to Sky Italia.
But, that bid is almost certainly the astronomical finale of a sage which has ended with the forward staying with the club.
“We will do everything possible to stay in the Nerazzurri. Martinez is very well in Milan, he has an excellent relationship with his teammates and with the new coach,” said Martinez’s agent.
“He wants to win the Scudetto again with Inter, play a good Champions League with the Nerazzurri and as I said at the moment he doesn’t think at all about leaving Italy.
“He believes – and we believe – that there is still life at Inter.”
