Michail Antonio opened his account for Jamaica with a brilliant goal

The 31-year-old, who only made his debut for Jamaica in September, opened the scoring before his side conceded a late equaliser through Alex Roldan of the Seattle Sounders, a result that leaves both countries level on points in the CONCACAF standings.

While the level of the opposition will of course be brought into question, Antonio’s surge up the pitch from his own halfway line left two defenders in his wake and, such is the level of his technical quality, the West Ham star’s sublime close control allowed him to create space before pulling off a deft chip over the goalkeeper.

Next up for Jamaica, they host group leaders United States – fresh from beating Mexico thanks to a goal from Chelsea star Christian Pulisic – in Kingston on Tuesday night.
