Mike Tyson accused of turning down $25m to fight Evander Holyfield

Evander Holyfield has accused Mike Tyson of turning down £25million to fight him for a third time.

Holyfield claims he made the offer for the fight to take place on May 29 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

The former cruiserweight and heavyweight’s spokesman said: “Team Holyfield sincerely believed a deal was imminent … and there were multiple other offers conveyed to Team Tyson. However, Team Tyson’s demands recently became untenable, and not what Mike Tyson had originally agreed on in direct conversations with Holyfield.”
