Manchester United confirm Cristiano Ronaldo return
Manchester United’s teenage star Amad will be loaned out for the rest of the campaign as he looks to build up a solid string of appearances in senior first-team football.
The 19-year-old impressed during his limited opportunities during his debut campaign at Old Trafford, but despite some stellar showings, Amad has fallen significantly down the pecking order in terms of United’s attacking pecking order.
Jadon Sancho’s arrival from Borussia Dortmund led to question marks over how much Amad would feature this season, before Cristiano Ronaldo’s shock return to Old Trafford all but sealed Amad’s fate as a fringe player at best.

Though all three have been linked with moves away from United, currently Daniel James, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial are all also seen as more realistic options for the first team than Amad.
Given the Ivorian is at a stage of his career where his development is key, he can not afford to have his pathway to first team football blocked – hence the decision to send him out on loan.
The teenager clearly boasts impressive attacking prowess, as both Crystal Palace and Sheffield United are among the clubs reportedly showing interest in a deal for the wide forward.
Solskjaer has since revealed in his pre-match press conference ahead of United’s upcoming trip to Wolves that Amad is on the cusp of a season-long stint away from the club.
“Yes I do [expect him to go out on loan]. It’s not 100 per cent signed but we’ve agreed,” the United boss said. “I don’t have to say which team it is yet [smiles], but we’ve found a place that Amad feels excited about and we feel excited about.”
Recent reports have implied that while Amad attracted interest from a number of clubs across Europe, the former Atalanta man has been holding out for a Premier League outfit.

Amad currently boasts just one goal in a United shirt, but it came at a crucial time – in the Europa League round of 16 clash with Italian giants A.C. Milan.
A stunning backwards looping header, his solitary effort enough to get large sections of the United faithful excited over the player he could become.
Man Utd signed Amad from Serie A outfit Atalanta back in October of last year, though he did not make his Red Devils debut until January of this year.
