Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku is the subject of transfer bids from his former club Chelsea – and Thomas Tuchel’s side are not his only admirers in the Premier League
Tuchel comments on Zouma’s Chelsea future amid West Ham links
Chelsea have begun pushing to sign their former player from Inter Milan after Borussia Dortmund refused to sell their primary transfer target Erling Haaland.
Lukaku is fresh from a brilliant campaign with Inter in which he scored 24 goals and recorded 11 assists to help his side win Serie A.
The Belgian striker initially made it clear he was happy to stay with the Italian side, despite Antonio Conte’s departure, but recent developments have made a Premier League return likely.

Chelsea have had two bids rejected by Inter, but Lukaku is understood to be open to a transfer, with the Blues preparing a bid of £102million (€120m) according to The Guardian .
Inter’s difficult financial situation could force them to accept Chelsea’s terms and send Lukaku back to the Premier League and the club he represented between 2011 and 2014.
A player with 113 Premier League goals is bound to have made an impression upon rival managers and Guardiola is one of those who has been on the receiving end of his talent.
Back in April 2018, Lukaku terrorised Manchester City ’s defence, helping United to a 3-2 win at the Etihad Stadium, delaying City’s coronation as champions.

Despite Paul Pogba scoring twice, it’s fair to say it was Lukaku who caught Guardiola’s eye.
“He’s 24 and has 100 goals in the Premier League,” he said post-match.
“So that’s not bad, first of all. Second, in the long balls we know the duels. He’s fast and strong.
“I saw him when he played for Everton with my friend Ronald Koeman – he punished us here in the Etihad Stadium and he punished us in Goodison Park.
“He’s fast, going to the channels, he helps to keep the ball and helps to make the movement for the other guys.
“He’s top. He’s a world class player.”
Lukaku has established his reputation as being “world class” over a sustained period.
The 28-year-old is 20th on the all-time list of Premier League goalscorers, with Jamie Vardy (118) and Harry Kane (166) the only active players above him.
The Belgian has been a prolific scorer for club and country over the past few years, netting 42 goals in 96 appearances across two seasons with Manchester United before joining Inter.
He has scored 65 goals in just 94 games at Inter and looks primed for a high-profile and big-money move back to the club where it all started.
Chelsea signed Lukaku from Anderlecht back in 2011 and the fact he only made 15 appearances for the club means he has unfinished business back at Stamford Bridge.
