Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly been offered a return to management with La Liga club Athletic Bilbao.
Reports emerged following United’s Champions League defeat by Istanbul Basaksehir that the Red Devils had made contact with Pochettino.
Under fire Ole Gunar Solskjaer responded by leading his Manchester United side to victory over Everton, cooling speculation for the time being.
Meanwhile, Spanish outlet Marca claim Athletic Bilbao are looking to strike while the iron is hot and hire Pochettino while he’s still available.

Current Athletic boss Gaizka Garitano is hanging onto his job by a thread, and the Spanish club allegedly want to replace him with a high profile candidate.
Pochettino has kept his cards close to his chest in regards to where and who he wants to manage in recent months.
But he has admitted he is desperate to get back inside the dugout, telling Sky Sports: “I always feel ready to get back involved in the game. I love football, it’s my job.
“It’s not a stress when you are working, it’s not a stress to go into the training ground, it’s not a stress to prepare the game, it’s not a stress to compete.
“My hair is long, look. I hope to cut it when we start working again to work. I am looking forward again to being involved in the game.”
