Pogba sent off for Man Utd with Keita withdrawn on stretcher after challenge

Manchester United were 5-0 down when Paul Pogba’s challenge on Naby Keita was reviewed by VAR and changed from a yellow to a red

Paul Pogba was sent off just 15 minutes into the second half of Manchester United’s game against Liverpool for a reckless challenge on Naby Keita.

The Liverpool midfielder was taken off on a stretcher as a result of the challenge.

Pogba was introduced to the game at the interval with the scoreline 4-0 to the visitors. But his appearance didn’t help as Mohamed Salah completed his hat-trick only five minutes later.

Things then went from very bad to worse when Pogba flew in, studs up, on Liverpool star Keita.

Anthony Taylor initially dished out a yellow card to the Frenchman but was recommended to view the pitch-side monitor by his colleagues.
