Premier League LIVE! Latest team news, scores and results today

It feels almost like pre-Covid times with no fewer than six Premier League games on the cards today, including three “traditional” 3pm kick-offs.

The action gets underway at Goodison Park as Everton host struggling Newcastle and look to pile the pressure on Magpies boss Steve Bruce.

Then, Crystal Palace host Wolves at Selhurst Park at the start of what looks a crucial run of games for Roy Hodgson’s side, while fellow Londoners Fulham travel to the Hawthorns to meet West Brom in a massive relegation six-pointer. Scott Parker has said it is too early in the season to call that game a must-win fixture, but victory would help the Cottagers open up a sizeable gap to their fellow top-flight newcomers.

At the same time, Manchester City have the chance to go four points clear at the top of the Premier League as they host the division’s bottom club, Sheffield United, who won at Old Trafford in midweek and are finally showing signs of the form we saw last season under Chris Wilder.

As well as all the goals and news from those matches, we’ll also have the build-up to undoubtedly the game of the day, as Arsenal welcome Manchester United to the Emirates Stadium this evening.

Live updates

West Brom 0-1 Fulham

Almost a carbon copy as Decordova-Reid is slipped in off that right flank again, this time by Loftus-Cheek, and again he lashes past Johnstone but this time finds the far post.

Man City 1-0 Sheffield United

18 mins: It’s been exactly as you’d expect at the Etihad since City took the lead – when will the second arrive?

West Brom 0-1 Fulham

13 mins: Where has this Mitrovic been all year?

More great control and a smart pass to find Loftus-Cheek, who tests Johnstone with a curling effort.

GOAL! | West Brom 0-1 Fulham | Bobby Decordova-Reid 10’

This is a superb goal as Lookman pings a ball in to Mitrovic and from there it’s brilliant centre-forward play as he kills it on his chest and slides in Decordova-Reid on his outside. The forward finishes sweetly and Fulham could not have wished for a better start.

GOAL! | Man City 1-0 Sheffield United | Gabriel Jesus 9’

Back in the team and straight back in the goals.

Comical defending absolutely everywhere you look and Ferran Torres benefits to pick out Jesus, who can’t miss, though he threatens to as he gets his feet a little muddled.

Man City 0-0 Sheffield Utd

5 mins: Foul throw alert!

City had started building a decent bit of pressure but Bernardo Silva chucks one straight down into the turf and the Blades can clear.

Our three 3pm kick-offs are underway…

West Brom vs Fulham (3pm)

Antonee Robinson is back from suspension for Fulham this afternoon. Kick-off around the grounds is five minutes away…

Crystal Palace vs Wolves (3pm)

Crystal Palace fans will have to wait a little longer to see Jean-Philippe Mateta make his debut, with the new signing only among the substitutes but Roy Hodgson has made six changes to his side.

Forwards Michy Batshuayi and Jordan Ayew are handed an opportunity, while Nathaniel Clyne, Scott Dann, Patrick Van Aanholt and James McCarthy come back into the starting XI.

Wolves hand a full debut to Willian Jose as one of three changes to the team which held Chelsea to a goalless draw on Wednesday.

Ruben Neves and Adama Traore drop to the bench while Rayan Ait-Nouri misses out due to injury and Ki-Jana Hoever and Joao Moutinho are given chances by Nuno Espirito Santo.
