Premier League table: Latest gameweek 8 standings and results

ameweek eight of the 2020/21 Premier League season kicks off on Friday night with a double-header as Brighton host Burnley before Newcastle travel to Southampton.

Saturday begins with Manchester United at Everton with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job potentially on the line. Chelsea host Sheffield United later in the day, between Crystal Palace’s home game with Leeds and West Ham entertaining Fulham in a London derby.

A bumper Sunday could start with Tottenham on top of the table should they win at West Brom. It could be short-lived though with Leicester facing off against Wolves two hours later and Liverpool hosting Manchester City in the tie of the weekend.

Arsenal and Aston Villa conclude the weekend on Sunday evening.
