Premier League table: Latest standings, fixtures, results for gameweek 8


Watford host the Reds in Claudio Ranieri’s first game in charge of the Hornets, and a win for the visitors will send them top of the table. Playing at 5.30pm away to newly-promoted Brentford, Chelsea go into the weekend with a one-point advantage.

Manchester United and Manchester City will also be keeping a keen eye on events at Vicarage Road as they sit within touching distance of first place ahead of their Saturday afternoon kick-offs.
