Prince Naseem Hamed’s son cruises to win on unique Joshua vs Dubois workout bill
Prince Aadam Hamed rallied to his third professional win against journeyman Santiago Garces.
Hamed was 2-0 going into the contest as a professional and was looking to continue the positive start to his career with a win at the Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois open workouts.
He took on journeyman Garces in his third outing in front of an impressive backdrop at the OVO Wembley Arena, and won every round on the scorecard, picking up a 40-36 decision win.
The slick mover was happy with his run-out, speaking after the fight: “It felt good, I got the call in Morocco six days ago.
“I’m blessed to be in this position and I want to keep showing up for the people.
“It’s the biggest platform you can box on, it’s my third fight ever and no one else is doing it like this.
“My dad was there it feels unbelievable, I want to be half as good as he was one day.”
Some fans were impressed with his display with one writing: “Looks really sharp, it’s very early.”
Another wrote: “It’s like I’m looking at the Naz of old, looks very similar.”
Hamed began the contest firmly getting in his rhythm as he boxed in and out of range, while showing early signs of some flamboyant confidence with some neat footwork.
Garces was limited and trying to survive as Hamed started to turn the screw into the latter stages of the opener, showing his gulf in class.
Hamed’s rival was intent on survival as accustomed on his professional record, with the undefeated star showing a crisp jab and trying to bait out his rival.

His intent continued in a slower second round with Garces covering up and throwing single shots, trying to make his rival look for openings.
The 22-year-old continued to dominate but he stepped up the pace drastically in the final round, putting together some nice shots.
He landed a sharp combination towards the final bell, with a left uppercut crushing through the guard before he unloaded a straight right hand.
The fight provided him with valuable rounds as he was given the decision, and his activity is likely to continue going into 2025.
The young son of Hamed has tough shoes to fill under the guidance of his father and boxing legend, who was a fan favourite particularly on British shores.
His flamboyant style and incredible skills as both an entertainer and fighter left an undeniable legacy as one of the modern era greats in the UK.
The veteran retired with a professional record of 36-1 with his only defeat coming in his penultimate outing against Marco Antonio Barrera in 2001.
Hamed had one final hoorah before retiring, beating Manuel Calvo in what turned out to be a farewell bout in 2002 and hung up his gloves as a successful world champion overall.

The experience of his father could be crucial to guide him safely through the professional ranks and keep his development to a maximum.
