PSG vs Club Brugge: Champions League preview

SG have little left to play for on the final day of the Champions League group stage but will at least be hoping to finish the campaign on a high heading into the knockout stage after Christmas.

Defeat to Manchester City in their penultimate fixture means the French side are guaranteed to finish second, behind Pep Guardiola’s men, in Group A and as such will miss out on being seeded for the last-16.

Their Belgian opponents, however, still have plenty to play for as they look to leapfrog RB Leipzig and claimed third spot and a place in the Europa League in the New Year.

PSG vs Club Brugge team news

PSG remain without Neymar after the Brazilian suffered a serious ankle injury last week, while Lionel Messi could be rested, with nothing on the line.

Ruben Providence is a doubt for the visitors because of an ankle problem of his own but otherwise the Belgians are expected to name a full-strength side as they chase third place.

PSG vs Club Brugge prediction

Brugge caused PSG problems in the reverse fixture, which ended in a 1-1 draw, but whether they will be able to replicate that showing on the road in Paris remains to be seen.
