Raheem Sterling has been linked with an exit from Manchester City with reports Arsenal would be interested in orchestrating a move for the 26-year-old England star
Raheem Sterling concedes he might have to quit Manchester City if he continues to be left out of Pep Guardiola’s plans.
The England winger has been on the fringes of the Premier League champions this season and has seemingly fallen out of favour with the City boss.
Sterling has been linked with an exit from the Etihad with reports Arsenal would be interested in orchestrating a move for the 26-year-old.
And the forward admits that he might be forced to leave City if he remains on the outside, looking in, instead of being a regular starter.
Sterling also revealed he could be open to a move abroad.

Are Arsenal realstically in the running for Raheem Sterling? Comment below
Talking at an FT Live event, he said: “If there was the opportunity to go somewhere else for more game time I would be open to it.
“As I said, football is the most important thing to me. Challenges that I have set myself from a young age and dreams as well.
“As an English player all I know is the Premier League and I’ve always thought you know maybe one day I’d love to play abroad. See how I would come up against that challenge.
“I’m not a person that’s going to complain. I’ve not tried to make it a bigger deal than it actually is. I get on with my work. Do what I need to do. And I’m just raring to go. Playing football matches regularly. Score goals regularly.”
It seems Sterling heard Ian Wright’s warning loud and clear from earlier this week as the former Arsenal striker was adamant he needs to “sort out his future” otherwise he could jeopardise his England spot at the 2022 World Cup.
He said on ITV: “Whatever’s going on with City at some stage you look at the importance of Raheem Sterling, I think he proved that at the Euros.
“Going into the Euros he wasn’t playing as frequently as he’d liked to of been playing but then he showed it at a tournament.
“You’re looking at a player who is easily one of our most potent players who isn’t playing at his club, at some stage he’s going to have to sort it out. We know that Gareth will pick him and come the World Cup as long as he’s fit he’ll be going.
“But from a personal view whatever is going with him and the manager, I think it was after a game against Man United then it was Southampton he went and had a word with him but since then been out of it.
“At some stage something has to happen where he plays more regularly.”

Rio Ferdinand doesn’t see Arsenal or Tottenham being one of Sterling’s landing spots, however.
He told his FIVE YouTube channel: “I will say it now. If he continues like this, Raheem will not be there next season. He can’t sit on the bench, he is not that type of guy. He is a winner, he wants to win.
“Tottenham can’t get in the mix, Arsenal can’t get in the mix with a Sterling right now.”
