RB Leipzig vs Liverpool – LIVE!
Jurgen Klopp has conceded defeat in the Reds’ Premier League title defence, leaving the Champions League as their only other opportunity to finish the season with silverware.
The draw was not kind, pitting them against a Leipzig team who are looking solid in second place in the Bundesliga under Julian Nagelsman and currently enjoying a four-game winning run. Nagelsmann has Liverpool as “ slight favorites on account of international experience.”
Injury ravaged Liverpool have lost five of their last seven games across all competitions, but the Champions League represents a chance for the 2018-19 winners to regain a purpose.
If Liverpool can produce a strong display in Budapest – with German Government coronavirus regulations not allowing Klopp’s side to travel to the country – it could provide the lift they need to keep fighting until the end.
