Arteta gives Arsenal team news before Everton clash

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will not be happy after his side’s last-gasp loss to Everton on Monday night.

Demarai Gray secured Everton’s win as his spectacular effort from outside the box flew in off the post in the second minute of added time.

Arsenal had taken the lead at Goodison Park thanks to Martin Odegaard but collapsed in the second half as two late goals consigned them to defeat.

Indeed, it could have been worse, but for two marginal offsides – given by VAR – that ruled out two Everton goals from Richarlison.

Arteta is bound to be making plans for improvements, with one potential target, Renato Sanches, seemingly keen to move ahead of the January transfer window.
