aracens have bolstered their ranks with the signing of scrum-half Ruben de Haas, who will join in the summer on a two-year contract.
De Haas played at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan, coming off the bench to compete against a number of his future team-mates in England’s 45-7 Pool C win over the USA in Kobe.
“When I heard I had the opportunity to come to Saracens, it was a no-brainer,” De Haas told Saracens’ official website after his move was officially announced on Monday.
“With the success Saracens have had over the past decade, and the team and family culture they have, it was a pretty easy decision for me.
“I’m really looking forward to the journey coming up.”
Saracens’ director of rugby Mark McCall added: “We have been monitoring Ruben’s progress over the last few seasons and are really excited by his potential, his ambition and drive.
“He is a young player with a bright future and we look forward to welcoming him to the club.”
Following their relegation for breaching salary cap rules, Saracens are due to begin the shortened 2020/21 Championship season on March 6.
Relegation from the Premiership has been scrapped for the current campaign amid the coronavirus pandemic, though Sarries will still be promoted if, as expected, they win the division with the top-flight set to expand from 12 to 13 teams next term.
