Shaqiri defends Liverpool’s success when asked about Champions League chances

Xherdan Shaqiri has reminded the world that Liverpool “did it already” when asked about the Reds’ Champions League chances this season.

When asked if he and his Liverpool team-mates are dreaming of winning the trophy again, which would deem this season a success, despite the Reds’ shocking domestic form, Shaqiri said: “Look, we did it already.

“But we want to go game by game and let’s see who the next opponent is. It’s going to be a very good opponent so we need two very good performances to go to the next round, for sure.”
