Shock footage appears to show Usyk being arrested on way to Joshua fight

Shocking footage has emerged appearing to show Oleksandr Usyk being arrested at Krakow airport.

The Ukrainian fighter was spotted being led away by uniformed officers with his hands behind his back.

As it stands the circumstances around his arrest are unclear.

Usyk’s wife Kateryna has taken to social media to reassure fans, saying: “Everything is fine, everything is fine.

“Oleksandr will explain everything later. Nothing criminal, goodnight everyone.”

Usyk was on his way to London where he is expected to attend Anthony Joshua’s blockbuster fight with Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

The British duo will face off in front of more than 90,000 supporters with Usyk hopeful of being in attendance.

AJ will be hoping to become a three-time world champion as he faces Dubois for the IBF heavyweight world title.

‘DDD’ was the holder of the IBF interim strap but has now been upgraded following Usyk’s decision to vacate his title to allow this fight to happen for the full world title.

Usyk is also in training ahead of his rematch with Tyson Fury on December 21.

Usyk claimed victory over the Gypsy King on May 24 in Saudi Arabia and will be hoping to do the same again in Riyadh this winter.
