She said on social media: “Very excited to share the news that I am part of the Sky Football presenting team.
“I’ve followed the EFL since a kid playing for Shrewsbury Town girls, we were given tickets and I loved watching them on a cold evening, that magical feeling under the floodlights.
“I volunteered to cover games when I got my first job in radio 10 years ago and then 7 years ago joined the wonderful Soccer Saturday team – going to miss Jeff, Jules and the team.
“Last season Quest invited me to present highlight shows which was amazing, and now it’s incredible to be part of the presenting team at Sky after first walking through the door as work experience in 2010!
“So grateful to those who believe in me and my family and best friends that support, particularly my husband who always helps with the stuff social media and TV doesn’t really see and is the most amazing Dad to our boy.
“It’s been a journey getting here and I feel so lucky that journey with Sky is continuing. I hope I make my little lad proud.
“We have some brilliant pundits and games lined up – and fantastic to have fans back too! 2021/22 let’s go!”
Sky have also announced that Karen Carney and Michael Dawson will be joining a new look Soccer Saturday team.
But whilst they’ve been added, Tony Cottee will leave his post following two decades on the show.
He shared a message on Twitter that read: “After 20 years @SkySports, today I was told that I will no longer be on the Soccer Saturday show.
“I’ve got fantastic memories and had lots of laughs but it’s now time for me to move on and see what the future will bring. It was a privilege to be part of such a great team.
“I’d like to thank everyone I’ve worked with at Soccer Saturday in that time and a special thanks to all the cameramen and back room staff who have looked after me so well…
“Perhaps there won’t be so many 0-0’s now….?!!”
