Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is preparing to unleash Amad Diallo – and training footage has emerged hinting at what the teenager will bring to Manchester United.
Diallo only joined United this month after his move from Atalanta was held up by red tape.
The Red Devils agreed a deal to sign the 18-year-old back in October, at the time as they signed fellow teenager Facundo Pellistri.
And Solskjaer has now confirmed his plans for both wingers – with Diallo further ahead in the manager’s thinking.
Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Sheffield United, the United boss says Diallo will soon be ready for action with the first team.
The youngster showed what he can do in a training drill in footage posted to Instagram by United.
Diallo can be seen playing a quick one-two before arriving in the danger zone to fire an unstoppable shot right into the far corner, with the ball cushioning in off the inside of the post.
His deadly finishing hints at why Solskjaer is preparing to fast-track him into the first team – while Pellistri is set to go out on loan.
“There has been quite a few clubs interested in Facundo to go out on loan and that’s maybe something we will let him do now,” said the manager.
“He’s had a few games in the reserves and we want to get him regular football in a different level.
“Amad is different, he’s only come in and he’s training in a different scenario. It won’t be long until I can bring him into the squad.”
Diallo is seven months younger than Pellistri, but joins United after earning Serie A and Champions League experience with Atalanta.
Pellistri joined from Penarol in his native Uruguay, and has been playing for United’s under-23s.
United are two points clear at the top of the Premier League ahead of Wednesday’s visit of the Blades – although second-placed Manchester City are in action at West Brom on Tuesday night.
