The agent of Lucas Torreira says the midfielder has no intentions of returning to Arsenal in January despite recent reports.
Torreira was loaned out to Atletico Madrid for the season with the deal believed to include an option to buy clause for £18million.
However, according to reports from Italy, Atletico boss Diego Simeone has already seen enough from Torreira to convince him he does not want to make the transfer permanent.
Simeone is in fact so convinced that he reportedly wants to send Torreira back to Arsenal in order to make room in his squad.
But Torreira’s agent Pablo Bentancur has denied his client is considering cut short his time in Spain.
“Lucas is serene and has nothing in his mind beyond continuing with Atletico,” Bentancur told GianlucaDiMarzio . “He’s ending his period of adaptability.”
The 24-year-old has made nine appearances for Atleti this season, though all-but two of those have come as a substitute.
Marca reported that Torreira was growing frustrated by his lack of playing time in Spain.
