Tottenham 1-0 Ludogorets: Europa League – LIVE!

Spurs know anything less than a win against Ludogorets this evening will leave them an uphill battle to reach the Europa League knockout stages.

A 1-0 loss to Royal Antwerp last month has left Group G with all to play for at the halfway mark, with Spurs, the Belgians and LINZ all on six points.

Ludogorets are the whipping boys of the group, but Jose Mourinho will look to make sure there are no further slip-ups.

Live updates

30 mins: Harry Winks is not known for his goals but he’s just gone as close as anyone to a second with a cracking effort from miles out. Just wide.

26 mins: It’s no exaggeration to say that the visitors have hardly been out of their half here. You sense it’s only a matter of time for Spurs, with Vinicius, Dele and Bale all looking sharp.

There was an element of luck about the goal, with Dele’s pass to an offside Bale deflecting into Vinicius’ path. But for both Dele and the Brazilian, it should be a much-needed confidence boost nonetheless.

GOAL! | Tottenham 1-0 Ludogorets | Carlos Vinicius 16’

A first Tottenham goal for the summer signing! A little bit of good fortune about the way the ball breaks to Vinicius but from there his first touch into space is excellent and it’s a cool finish.

Spurs are fired up and on top, led by a very vocal Mourinho from the touchline. Ndombele has been particularly sharp but is taking a kicking – which will worry the Spurs boss ahead of Chelsea on Sunday.

12 mins: It’s a game of Gareth Bale free-kicks at the moment. His latest deflects off the wall and goes behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.

7 mins: That’s a better effort from Bale, but probably one he could’ve done with being the further ten yards out because it doesn’t dip in time to threaten the goal.

5 mins: 40-odd yards out, Gareth Bale fancies this free-kick. Might even be further. Ugh, straight into the wall.

Oh, hang about, the referee’s given handball. We’ll go again, from ten yards closer…

Right then, Arsenal and Leicester have just booked their places in the knockout stages with two games to spare. Can Spurs take a big step towards joining them?
