Tottenham vs Brighton: Premier League preview

ottenham will be looking to get back to winning ways after a surprise Europa League defeat in midweek when they host Brighton on Sunday.

Spurs were beaten 1-0 by Belgian side Royal Antwerp on Thursday night, as Jose Mourinho’s second string missed out on a chance to impress.

In the Premier League, however, Spurs have been in excellent form, with Monday night’s win over Burnley taking them within a point of the top four.

Brighton, meanwhile, have struggled to turn decent performances into good results and have not won since beating Newcastle on September 20.

Tottenham vs Brighton is scheduled for a 7:15pm GMT kick-off on Sunday, November 1, 2020.

The match will be behind closed doors at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with no fans due to be present due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

The match will be shown live on Sky Sports Box Office for a fee of £14.95.

Jose Mourinho rotated his squad for Thursday night’s Europa League game but was so disappointed with the performances of his fringe players that he made four changes at the break.

The Portuguese slammed their display afterwards and is likely to return to his first choice XI, if Tanguy Ndombele is fit.

Prediction: Tottenham 2-0 Brighton

The Seagulls have proven themselves tricky customers in recent weeks but do not have the results to show for it and will surely struggle to contain Son and Kane.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

Spurs earned a 2-1 win in this fixture on Boxing Day last year, though it was honours even across the campaign as Brighton landed a famous 3-0 victory at the Amex.

Brighton’s last away win against Tottenham came way back in 1981.
