Tottenham XI vs Fulham: Confirmed team news and predicted lineup

J

ose Mourinho will not want to tinker too much for Thursday’s visit to Fulham after his Tottenham side returned to form with a bang in last Sunday’s 4-0 demolition of Burnley.

Nonetheless, the Spurs boss is conscious of the need to rotate in the next few days, with another match against Crystal Palace on Sunday before the Europa League resumes next week.

Mourinho has already said he cannot play Gareth Bale in all of the next three matches, despite his brilliant brace against the Clarets, but the Wales forward could keep his place at Craven Cottage to allow him to continue to build momentum.

Toby Alderweireld is unlikely to be asked to start three times in a week and could therefore drop out, with Eric Dier coming in at centre-half.

Dele Alli is pushing for a first League start since the opening day of the season but Mourinho is unlikely to want to do without Lucas Moura, who has scored in back to back matches and rarely needs a rest.

Matt Doherty and Ben Davies may also be in contention to come in at full-back, particularly if Mourinho believes Sergio Reguilon and Serge Aurier are best saved for the threat of Wilfred Zaha and Co. at the weekend.

Giovani Lo Celso is Spurs’ only absentee as he continues to work his way back from a hamstring problem.

Spurs (probable 4-2-3-1): Lloris; Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Ndombele; Bale, Lucas, Son; Kane.

Venue: Craven Cottage, Thursday 4 March, 18.00, BT Sport

Spurs squad from: Lloris, Hart, Whiteman, Aurier, Doherty, Tanganga, Reguilon, Davies, Rodon, Alderweireld, Dier, Sanchez, Hojbjerg, Winks, Sissoko, Ndombele, Dele, Lucas, Lamela, Son, Bale, Kane, Vinicius, Scarlett.

Last meeting: Spurs 1-1 Fulham
