Chelsea have officially signed PSV Eindhoven star Noni Madueke in their sixth deal of the month. Brighton have rejected their latest bid for Moises Caicedo, with Chelsea also showing surprise interest in a deal for Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma.
Spurs are pushing to sign Nicolo Zaniolo from Roma and remain hopeful over an agreement for Pedro Porro, while West Ham have announced the arrival of Danny Ings. Danjuma agrees Everton loan
Arnaut Danjuma is set to join Everton on loan.
Everton will have no option to sign the Villarreal winger permanently.
Danjuma was pursued by Southampton, Nottingham Forest and former club Bournemouth this month, though Frank Lampard has won the race.
He has scored 17 goals across 37 games in all competitions this season.
Kiwior medical today
Jakub Kiwior will have a medical with Arsenal today before confirming his £21million move from Spezia.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Gunners will wrap up their second January signing in as many days this afternoon.
He adds: “Arsenal and Serie A side Spezia have already signed documents yesterday afternoon.”
Liverpool monitor Mount talks
Chelsea are intensifying contract talks with Mason Mount as Liverpool monitor the siutation.
Mount has 18 months left on his current £75,000-a-week deal, which The Guardian reports makes him among the lowest earners at the club.
Liverpool are planning a rebuild of their midfield and Mount’s stuttering talks has given them hope of a sensational summer switch.
Mount wants Chelsea to prove they value him and Chelsea are ready to be as generous as possible.
Roma baffled by Zaniolo decision
Roma boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly baffled by Nicolo Zaniolo decision to withdraw from match duty this weekend.
Zaniolo has decided to steop away from the playing squad amid speculation over his future, namely interest from Premier League trio Tottenham, Arsenal and West Ham.
It is a decision which has caught the club by surprise, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, including Mourinho and General Manager Tiago Pinto with the club yet to receive a contract offer.
Man United want Kane
Manchester United are interested in signing Tottenham talisman Harry Kane this summer, but will have to part with close to a club-record sum to do so.
The Mail report that Kane is open to moving to Old Trafford in the summer, by which time he will have 12 months to run on his Spurs contract, as manager Erik ten Hag targets a new striker as a transfer priority.
Spurs’ only hope of keeping Kane would be qualification for the Champions League, which looks more remote by the week after a poor start to 2023, with contract talks not progressing.
So Spurs chairman Daniel Levy must decide whether to cash in or stand firm again. A £85m price tag is understood to be enough, though Levy could well bump that up for a Premier League rival.
ICMI: Arsenal want Camavinga on loan
Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga could be following Jakub Kiwior to north London if Arsenal get their way.
The club’s owners are ready to back manager Mikel Arteta in the transfer market as they bid to win a first Premier League title since 2004, having already added Leandro Trossard and soon to add the Spezia defender to their ranks.
Standard Sport understands Arsenal are interested in signing Camavinga on loan to bolster their squad for the rest of the season.
Kiwior spotted en route to Arsenal
Poland international Jakub Kiwior has been pictured en route to Arsenal for his medical ahead of a move to the Emirates Stadium.
In a deal which seemingly came out of nowhere, Kiwior is set to leave Spezia for around £21million to bolster Mikel Arteta’s defence.
Zaniolo pulls out of Roma squad amid Spurs links
Nicolo Zaniolo chose to sit out Roma’s game this weekend, according to reports in Italy.
It emerged earlier that the Tottenham target will not feature against Spezia on Sunday but it now has been claimed that he was behind the decision – not the club.
Talks over a new contract at Roma have collapsed and Spurs are eyeing a £31m deal.
Nkunku warned over joining Chelsea
Timo Werner has warned Christopher Nkunku that playing for Chelsea is not like RB Leipzig.
The striker is set to seal a summer switch to the Blues, with his teammate in Germany saying: “I can tell him about positive and negative experiences should he change. At a club like this, you don’t play like you do at RB Leipzig because there’s more competition – not just on a sporting level, but also on a different level, mentally.
“You have to deal with that and everyone has to find their own way. That’s why it’s the wrong approach to give tips to others. Time has changed me a lot.”
Arsenal target Fresneda signs
After Jakub Kiwior arrives tomorrow and Leandro Trossard signed earlier this afternoon, there are more deals on the way at Arsenal.
Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda has agreed to join the club, according to El Desmarque.
The 18-year-old has announced that he has put pen to paper… on a sponsorship deal with adidas.
