The summer window is open and clubs are stepping up their efforts to sign and sell players.
Manchester United have finally signed long-time no1 target Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, for a ‘fixed transfer fee of £73million’. The young Englishman could be joined at Old Trafford by Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane, while talks are advancing with Rennes over French starlet Eduardo Camavinga.
Manchester City are ready to once again splash the cash as they target huge deals for both Harry Kane and Jack Grealish, though managing to prise the pair away from Tottenham and Aston Villa respectively will prove difficult, with Villa confident of Grealish agreeing fresh terms to stay put and Spurs holding firm.
Thomas Tuchel wants Chelsea to make an “immediate” move to sign Erling Braut Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, having made a top-class striker his transfer priority this summer.
Liverpool are believed to be considering offers for Saul Niguez and Youri Tielemans with Porto’s Otavio and Nicolo Barella of Inter Milan also firmly on the radar as well as a potential deal for Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches, while Erling Haaland is said to be interested in a move to Chelsea this summer.
Tottenham’s transfer activity will step up a gear now Nuno Espirito Santo has been confimed as their new manager and they are trying to sign Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna. Nuno reportedly wants to meet Kane for talks over his future before the striker goes on holiday after Euro 2020.
Meanwhile, West Ham are in talks over a deal for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper and former Fulham loanee Alphonse Areola.

City rule out Griezmann move
Manchester City have reportedly ruled out a move for Antoine Griezmann – but are ready to step up their interest in Harry Kane and Erling Braut Haaland.
Pep Guardiola is targeting a new striker this summer after allowing Sergio Aguero to leave and Kane is his top target, while Haaland is another option.
Reports in Spain have suggested City could move for Griezmann but the Sun claim sources at the Etihad have said the Barcelona man is not a player who is on their radar.
City could step up attempts to sign Kane now the Euros is over. Jack Grealish is a player City are targeting but, like Kane, he could cost over £100m.
Bellerin tells Arsenal he wants to leave
Hector Bellerin has told Arsenal he wants to leave this summer, according to reports in Italy.
The right-back has been linked with a move to Inter Milan and Gianluca Di Marzio claims he is trying to push through a transfer to the Serie A club.
The report claims Arsenal are open to selling Bellerin, who is the longest-serving member of the Gunners squad and still has another two years left on his contract.
Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Juventus are also said to be interested in him.
United closing in on Varane deal
Manchester United are reportedly close to agreeing personal terms with Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
The Manchester Evening News claim United are “not far off” from finalising a deal for the 28-year-old and hope to conclude his signing in the coming weeks.
Madrid want to sell Varane this summer because he has under a year left on his contract, though United will be wary of being burned like they were in 2015 when they thought they were close to signing Sergio Ramos before he signed a new contract at the Spanish giants.
Madrid are said to value Varane at £80m but the report the claims they know they cannot command a fee anywhere near that figure and that United expect to sign him for a “good price”.
Varane is currently on a summer break after playing for France at the Euros and it claimed United are in no rush to complete a deal.
All change in goal at Wolves
The Telegraph say that Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio is set to join Jose Mourinho at Roma in a €12m deal later this week.
The Portuguese is set to be replaced at Molineux by José Sá, who is reportedly set to arrive from Olympiacos in a £6.8m move.
De Paul completes Atleti switch
Spanish champions Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of Rodrigo de Paul from Udinese.

“I’ll be joining the Spanish league champion and I know that it is a big responsibility,” he said. “It’s a big step in my career.”
Ryan to join Sociedad
Real Sociedad have completed a deal to sign Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Arsenal.
The Australian made three Premier League appearances for the Gunners and had been linked with a permanent move to the Emirates.
However, the 29-year-old will now return to LaLiga, having joined Brighton from Valencia back in 2017.
“Mat has been a great servant to the Albion over the past four years and on behalf of the club I’d like to place on record our gratitude for his efforts,” Seagulls boss Graham Potter told the club website.
“He’s a great guy, top professional and as someone who wants to be playing regularly at senior level he goes to Real Sociedad with our very best wishes.
“He’s been a pleasure to work with, he will be fondly remembered by everyone and always welcome back at the club.”
QPR sign McCallum
QPR have completed the signing of Norwich defender Sam McCallum on a season-long loan deal from Norwich.
The 20-year-old spent last season back on loan at former side Coverntry City and made 41 Championship appearances.
“He brings real ability and will add competition to the squad,” QPR boss Mark Warburton told the club website.
“He also understands the wingback role, he has an attacking instinct, great physicality and is aerially very strong as well.
“Sam is a player who can have an impact in both boxes, and I am looking forward to working with him.”
Ryan heading to Sociedad?
Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan spent the second half of last season on loan with Arsenal, but could be heading back to Spain according to reports.
The Australian was with Valencia before heading to the Premier League and has been linked with a move to Celtic this summer.
But the latest reports say he is close to joining Real Sociedad.
Bellerin wants out
Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin is wanted by Inter to replace Achraf Hakimi, and Italian TV now say the Spanish defender has told the Gunners he wants to move.
The only sticking point now is the clubs agreeing on the structure of any potential deal.
Inter want a loan deal but Arsenal reportedly want a permanent sale. Can the clubs thrash out a deal?
