Transfers LIVE! Mbappe and Ronaldo latest; Kane STAYING at Spurs

Two potentially huge stories are developing in the final week of the summer window, with reports concerning the futures of Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Real Madrid have made their first move in the form of a €160m bid for the PSG star, while Ronaldo is attempting to engineer a move to Manchester City after deciding to leave Juventus.
Chelsea are not done either as they look to step up their interest in Sevilla defender Jules Kounde and Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez. The latter could be a loan deal, but Manchester United are also reportedly interested.
Mikel Arteta is facing questions over his future, with suggestions that Antonio Conte could be in line to replace him if Arsenal’s form does not quickly improve.
Liverpool have also been linked with the likes of Saul and Mbappe amid new contract plans for Mohamed Salah, while West Ham may have fresh hope as they pursue the permanent return of Jesse Lingard and a move for Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma.

PSG confirm Mbappe bid from Real
Sporting director Leonardo has just been speaking to RMC Sport.
“Kylian Mbappe wants to leave, that seems clear… If he wants to leave, we will not stop him, but on our terms,” he said.
“We have no plans to talk to Real Madrid again. The deadline is August 31 at midnight.
“This is how the transfer window is, for us we are clear: we keep him and we extend. But we’re not going to let him go for less than what we paid when we still owe Monaco money.
Could Kane leave in January?
Harry Kane wrote he was staying “this summer”, prompting speculation over a January exit.
“I am not worried at all,” he said.
“It’s day by day, he’s an option for tomorrow. It’s the only thing, my only thought. I am not going to say what we speak about. It’s between us.”
Nuno on Kane
Nuno Espirito Santo says confirmation that Harry Kane will not be leaving the club this summer is “fantastic news for everybody.”
“It’s great news,” Nuno said. “Since Harry joined us, he’s been working so this is what we value. His attitude in training sessions has been great.
“It’s finished. Harry’s going to be with us. He worked today. He’s an option for [to face Pacos]. Like I said, fantastic news for everybody.
“We are all very happy. He is one of the best players in the world, so we are all very happy, delighted to have one more option for the season ahead of us.”
Gollini on Kane
Tottenham goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, along with manager Nuno Espirito Santo, are currently addressing the media ahead of tomorrow’s Europa Conference League play-off second leg against Pacos.
He said on Kane: “We are very happy. We know how good Harry is as a player and we know how important he is for the team. He is one of the best strikers in the world and it is very big important news for us.”
More on Kane
Chief football correspondent Dan Kilpatrick writes: “Kane was desperate to force his way out of his boyhood to join Manchester City but Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman, was determined not to sell the 28-year-old, who has three years remaining on the six-year deal he signed in 2018.
“Spurs rejected at least one bid for Kane from City, worth around £100million, and are thought to have made it clear to the Abu Dhabi-backed club that their talisman was not for sale.
“Kane was frustrated at Levy’s stance, believing he had a gentleman’s agreement with the chairman to allow him to leave this summer, but has now accepted remaining in north London for at least another year.”

Real Madrid ask to speak to Mbappe
Interesting update from RMC Sport.
Real Madrid have asked PSG for permission to speak to Kylian Mbappe.
Does this mean they are confident of agreeing a deal with PSG? Surely meeting Mbappe’s demands will be a formality.
