Tyson Fury has been told he won’t get his dream bout at Old Trafford for his next fight.

The Gypsy King is desperate to box in front of his home fans at the iconic stadium, but the die-hard Manchester United supporter’s hopes of doing so in the early part of next year have taken a significant blow.

The WBC heavyweight champion previously joked there was only room for “one superstar” in the city after Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to United.

Fury’s promoter Frank Warren highlighted two reasons why Fury’s next fight is unlikely to take place at the Theatre of Dreams.

The star boxer is keen to fight in the UK after his last five fights have taken place overseas.

According to Warren, The Emirates Stadium is a potential venue for Fury’s next fight.

“Well look, the only problem is he wants to fight in February or March. The answer’s going to be no isn’t it because of the weather and football season,” he told his promotional company’s YouTube channel.

“Who knows, in the summer it could be the case. I’ll take him down the Arsenal, but we’ll see!”

Fury could face mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte when he next steps in the ring, although “The Body Snatcher” must first overcome Otto Wallin at the O2 Arena later this month.

However, although all roads seemingly lead to Fury fighting again, Warren revealed Fury has not confirmed his future plans and may even decide he wants to retire from the sport.

“If Dillian Whyte wins, the WBC will certainly make their decision as to what the position will be regarding Tyson’s mandatory. If Wallin wins, they’ve got a rematch clause. So Wallin can’t even face him,” Warren said.

“I didn’t even talk about [who’s next]. I was talking to Bob [Arum] and Tyson, when I spoke to him a couple of times now I told him to go home and rest up with the family. He doesn’t need me to tell him that.

“That’s what he’s going to do. He’s had a new baby, there was a lot of problems during training with his baby daughter Athena. She was in ICU twice, so you can imagine the problems and worry that was for him and Paris.

“Now they want to spend some time together as a family, see his kids. He’s been training solidly for 20 months and nothing happened. So plenty of time to talk about that.”
