Usman vs Burns: How to watch UFC 258, start time, prediction, odds

he dominant Kamaru Usman defends his welterweight title against former training partner Gilbert Burns in the UFC 258 main event tonight.

This fight has been a while in the making, with a positive Covid-19 test recorded by the challenger preventing it from being the first big clash to take place on the UFC’s ‘Fight Island’ in Abu Dhabi last summer.

The bout was then scheduled to headline UFC 256 in December, only for it to be pushed back again with Usman needing more time to recover from injury.

But now the familiar duo will finally lock horns, with ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ – who remains proudly undefeated in the UFC – providing the third defence of the belt he won from Tyron Woodley at UFC 235 back in 2019 before putting it on the line in dominant triumphs over Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal.

Brazilian challenger Burns also beat Woodley via unanimous decision last year and is unbeaten since his loss to Dan Hooker three years ago.

Burns certainly has the skillset to make it a very uncomfortable night for Usman, but we’re backing the champion to win via decision to keep his undefeated UFC streak alive and the gold around his waist.
